Somehow this just reminds me of the movie "Major League" with Tom Berenger and Charlie Sheen.
FOX is doing anything that's within their power to screw Futurama, and then in a couple of months they'll anounce the death of the show, because "the ratings are bad". Bastards!

If Fox try to kill Futurama and say it's dead, it doesn't mean it's dead because some other channel can buy it and treat it properly, then Fox would realise it's mistakes.

I was under the impression, that FOX had the exclusive rights for Futurama. Thus a cancellation from FOX would equal a death penalty for the show. They could ofcourse sell the rights to another channel, but knowing FOX, they would demand an amount equaling the national debt of a small developing country. But then again I could be wrong. In that case, please enlighten me.

has anyone thought about starting a petition at http://www.PetitionOnline.com/ I am unsure if it will do any good but it would be a start to get the knuckleheads at Fox to realize that Futurama is a pretty damn funny show and it would be a good thing to treat it with a little more respect. The Simpsons, while funny, is starting to run out of steam. Futurama would be a good investment for them, at least we need to make them believe that. Speedvision was recently bought out by fox and there was a fear that it was going to become an all NASCAR channel, someone started a petition and word got back to them that there were quite a few pissed off motorsports fans that did not like that idea. 60,000 signatures later.... we probably would not be able to get this many but...... ideas anyone.....VTRan

Welcome to PEEL VTRan. I hope you'll enjoy it here. About the petetion thing: To my knowledge noone has tried that yet (I could be wrong). I don't think it would impress FOX though. It had to be American signers only, for FOX to give it any thought. Besides they seem so madly, over the top, insanely in love with Simpsons anyway. But then again it couldn't hurt to try.

I just got off the phone with a friend (fellow futurama fan) who is also a civil lawyer. He believes there might be a case in here for false advertising. Bad news is that no one would get money from the persuit of such a suit. Good news is that it could prevent Fox from being able to advertise a show and then not air it, including pre-empting from football. Horrible news is he said it might cause Fox to deem the show's cost too high and cancel it. Anyone else have views on this?

Welcome to PEEL SavaShip, this could be a very tricky situation and we don't want to make Fox drop the show. Caution advised is the best way to handle it.
