Petitions didnt work. Sending them rotting fish didnt work. Time to move to Plan B.
I call it;

Operation: Futurama-Aid

It is simple, we write a Futurama themed song, axing Fox to bring back Futurama for Xmas. Hey that could be the title!

Futurama For Xmas

I feel I'm about to cry, another Xmas without Leela or Fry. But, Fox, if you grant us this Xmas wish, we will stop sending you tons of rotting fish.

All I want is Futurama for Xmas.
Is that so much to axe?
So why wont you bring back Futurama, you evil, souless hacks?

Futurama was a great show. I built a Bender snowman in the snow. I wish he were still here you know. Oh Santa hear our plea, bring Futurama back to me!

Now you write the next verse and when it is completed we can print it off and sell it and all the proceeds go to buying Futurama off Fox!

If we were to make this CD thing, we'd need support and it would have to get LOTS of money to have Fox consider it to be a reason to bring back Futurama. Just writing a sonc won't do anything.

And who exactly would we sell the song to? I propose we find a really rich person and then get them extremely drunk. Then we can not only get him to buy the song but also sign papers granting his entire fortune to me.

Hmmm...entire fortune to you? We'll have to see about that.

Well, if we found some famous people that like Futurama and want to sing (bad) to help bring it back, it could happen. But I think they're all busy with the war and Katrina relief and stuff to be woried about Futurama. Though, we might get Kayne West to say "Fox hates fan-people."

dr. - people have emailed him, Ive not heard of a response though.

Billy does have forums that he visits.

Yardstick - what exactly do you think you are going to accomplish?  I think the best thing for everyone to do is to wait for the DVD movies to be approved before anything happens.  If FOX puts support into those, then that is the best time for anything to be done - because atleast we know FOX is into it a little bit.  Besides that, if it goes through, the best we can do is buy the DVD and I would say to write them letters then saying how happy we are that they decided to support the show again, even if its not exactly what we wanted.  Even the people that are part of the show know that this being approved is really the only hope Futurama has of getting back on the air.

That's not true, a few people here have recieved (and posted) responses from him.

Although this song idea is fucking stupid. Sadly, still better than 90% of the other ideas posted here to bring back the show, though...

I never got a response personally... all I got was a reply from his lawyer reminding me of my so-called "restraining order."  frown
