yay I'm watching it.

bender's episode was great.  the hilarity slowed down a bit at the end, but it was pretty jam packed in the beginning.

Fry's episode was the next in order of goodness.  It was funny in a "you had to be a huge nerd" kinda way.  Luckily I happen to BE a huge nerd, so i thought it was good.  They really packed a lot of gags into this story.  And mario was in it, but stupid sonic was nowhere to be seen!  Too bad Fox made that "all your base" jokes seem as lame and outdated as possible

Leela's episode was the least good.  It was better than I thought it would be though, which was nice.  I like how they have Dwight as a munchkin even though we "technically" don't know who Dwight is.  Idiots at Fox always fuck with everything.  I liked how the cast the show though.  Amy was mean!  :laff:  Poor Leela. Oh and poor Zoidberg having to take a cab!

Overall it was good, but not as good as the first AOI.

Bender as a human rocked. I especially liked his sexual exploits(kissing the professor, kissing girls with his mouth completely full of chili dog...so hot).

Videogame stuff was good too. "All your base" is of course really outdated, but I still appreciate how nerdy the joke is.

I didn't like the Wizard of Oz thing too much. But the professor with tongs and a box marked "Leela's Organs" was funny as damn. Oh and I also like the running AOI gag of Amy insulting Leela and getting immediately murdered.

I just watched it. All I can say it that is one of the best episodes of the series! I laughed out loud throughout the entire show. All three "What if..." segments were great. The very best one was Bender's though. I knew that he would die of excess by the end of the segment. I just didn't know how funny it was going to be.

The bit with Fry and the video games was really great too. I think that's the first time that "All your base are belong to us" has been used on mainstream TV. That whole segment just shows how nerdy the writers of this show must be too.

The final act with Leela was a really nice warped little parody of "The Wizard of Oz". The humor they used in this segment was really in tune with the current style the show has. A little "out there" but not constantly having to refer back to the fact that they are in the future. My only complaint was that it really had NOTHING to do with Leela finding her home world, unless the Professor meant that she comes from Kansas. I think they may be saving that up for an upcoming episode that I read about in a spoiler list a while back though. So I guess we'll see then.

The best part of the episode was seeing that there will be another new one next week! I doubt if it's completely true though, but a man can dream. A man can dream....

A dissapointment for me.  The first segment was preempted for me so my review doesn't put that into account.

The last 2 segments while having many good points the just seemed forced and awkward.  The Cameos of Mom was poorly used and I'm one of the few who really likes Mom's character.  I wish Cuber was eaten other than that Slurm slug  :(

B-  Not the worse episode ever but I set very high standards after the great AOI:1

It was like the whole season 10 of the simpsons.....Crapy!

It is so bad the berder being human was good tell the end when berder dies.If life was a game was just a bunch of lame jokes about old games from the 80s no plot.It also goes for the leela on two.

So for people who didn't see it and people going to see it don't see it.

Worst episode of futurama ever!

Baz--d'oh. You missed the best one. Stupid pre-emptions.

homerjay--what do you mean no plot? The planet was being invaded by videogame characters. Fry tried to save them. There's the plot.

To be fair, you obviously don't know what the word plot means. The fry part was pretty loose, but the leela one definitely did. I don't think anyone would tell you that The Wizard of Oz has no plot, and that "episode" was a pretty straightforward parody of it.

Shucks it seems like I did miss a good 1st segment  :(  The other 2 really didn't live up to my own created hype.  Mostly my problem but still.  I think homerjay was just being a little blunt.  The stories had plots just not very clever/original/good ones.  But still there was room for some good ol' Futurama gags.

Another Scruffy sighting.  But now I've seen him in a few episodes lately it seems like.  Also seeing Dwight for a first time was cool, I hope he turns out better than... um'.... yea  ;)

First segment: Excellant. I usually don't focus on the characters actions, but Bender's movements were great. Especially the dancing.

Second: Seeing as how I really like video games, I really liked this segment. It was good that they focused on 80s-early 90s games and not Tomb Raider-type stuff. I wish at least ONE Sega refrence was used but the Atari and Nintendo stuff was good.

Third: I had no idea that THIS was the "Leela meets her parents" segment. I liked the Zoidberg taxi cab stuff.

Grade: A

The Simpsons was also very very good, continuing the Las Vegas episode was totally out of nowhere.

Bender's "what if": Kinda funny, but just an average episode.

Fry's "what if": was laughing so hard, nearly fell out of my chair.  Videogame references were perfect. I know it's old, but the "All your base are belong to us" was great.

Lealla's "what if": Not bad, but aren't Wizard of Oz parodies getting old.

Bender's segment: Ew. Hilarious, but... ew. A-.

Fry's segment: I actually grew up playing all those old videogames, and that made it twice as funny. A++++ (actually, that fourth + is just Kahlua.)

Leela's segment: M'eh. Not that great. Still, Amy got more lines here than she's had in the last three episodes... and gets to be part of a running gag. C+.

Overall: B+.

I missed the first segment due to freakin football, but the others were pretty good.  I liked the video game one more than the wizzin one, but overall it was quality, an A in my book.

I loved almost the whole episode.
The weakest part was fat Bender & the party. But the 1st 1/2 of that act had me laughing the hardest.
Act 2 & Act 3 looked beautiful, & the nostalgic gags were great.
The Simpsons ep comes on in a bit. I'd wager that I don't laugh 1/2 as much, but I'll wait & see it.

I can't give it a complete review, since the first act and a half was cut by football. But I really liked the video game references made in Act 2. I enjoyed that part the most. But Leela's segment seemed a little too rushed. I really expected to see Leela see her home planet, but it was still OK. Seeing the professor with a big head was weird  :p

I thought it was good, not as good as the first one, but I'm ok with that.  The video game section was easily my favorite segment, especially with the Planet Nintendo 64 reference.  I spent my early years on the Atari system, so I recognized almost all the games.  Even Mario got a cameo.

Incidently, I rock.

I thought it was highly irregular that an over-sized Bender managed to die in the first stories of both AoI's, and the line "Good night, sweet prince," was used both times.  Coincidence?  I think so.  I agree that Bender's obesity and the party kind of ruined that tale, but it was an overall success.  The second tale was good, but it seemed forced.  I liked the obtuse references to Pac-man and Space Invaders, paricularly Lrr's commands and the line, "Invaders, possibly from space!"  The ending was weak and the worst part.  The third tale was pretty good.  The abuse/neglect of Zoidberg was the best part, followed closely by Fry's not-so-obvious need of a brain.

Anyway, B+: better than bad, but behind the best.

this is currently my favorite episode. great work.

i'm sure this has been mentioned before, and i'm too lazy to read the 30 posts before mine, but bender died in both AOIs, in his segment which was first. in both, somebody said "goodnight sweet prince" or something like that. i'm sure the writers knew they were doing this, but i wonder if it will be a recurring theme. i hope it won't be, cause it's kind of a lame one to put forward

This was a great episode, i loved Benders and Fry's parts. Leela's was'nt so fun.
Fry's was the best. no doubt.

"we're loseing ships sir. what are your orders?

That was pretty funny.

I think it was a good ep overall. But it seemed a bit strange, I supose it's because the stories are just 7 min, so must be hard 'concentrate' all in that 7 mins. Anyway, good ep  :).

I know I shouldn't be posting in here as I havn't seen it, but because I don't want to spoil myself reading all the reviews, could some kind hearted, ever so nice person please answer the following:

1) Did Cubert or Scruffy make an appearance?
2) How was Frys video game part done, 3D or like in a biycilopse or what?
3) Was it better than AOI 1?

Thanx Otis.

the Bender history was good, altough i didn`t like the end. (but i liked the coincidences with AOI1..)

Fry`s part was the best for me, i had to stop the episode many times for the laught , i had the luck of see the golden age of videogames in the 80-90 transition (hahaha take that tennagers!!, just joking). The Pac-Man part was simply great.

The Leela part was very good, also remaining AOI1 like killing Amy (but this time was "legal&quot ;), i knew that something had to happen for Leela didn`t found her true home (the "all normal-at the end" thing) and it was a good manner to avoid her to see it (the question is, saw the rest of the Crew that??)

The end was very good, "next year"

i loved this ep. my one and only complaint was the time. But considering each plot was allowed 7 minutes it's understandable. Although all three plots would have made kick-ass full length episodes.

I wouldn't know if this was better than AOI I because I never saw it! And I probably won't see it till it's out on DVD because FOX never airs episodes from Season 1 or 2 anymore. Anyway, here we go!

"I, Meatbag"
It was pretty good at the beginning. Then Bender said he liked everything and ran out and partied and then he came to the academy as a blob. Well, it was fun while it lasted.

"Raiders of the Lost Arcade"
The best one ever! All the references to video games, like the Mario-like Italy representitive and the building's windows folding down like in the original DK game. Everything great.

Uh... I forgot the name!
This was a good segment as well, especially Zoidberg coming in the cab. Then Leela turned evil like in AOI I. But it was all good.

Also, check out my guide page for AOI II at: www.geocities.com/shadowstar_freakboy/guide3acv18.html

I also tried to improve my art, so if you don't like it, than bite my shiny metal ass!
