From the Washington Examiner's story on the resurgence of G.I. Joe:

This fall, Hasbro is releasing a new wave of action figures to coincide with Fox's September debut of the new cartoon series "G.I. Joe: Sigma Six," with two-dimensional characters and 3-D backgrounds and vehicles - like the high-end, Japanese animation version of "Futurama," according to Blaylock.

Okay, so does that mean ...

1. This new G.I. Joe show is going to be like what a high-end, Japanese Futurama would be?

2. This new G.I. Joe show is similar to a high-end, Japanese Futurama already on the boards?

Defintely looks like #1 to me. Should have said "like a high end" instead of "the high-end."

O_o

Well, it's probably #1, but it'd be freaky weird if it was #2.
