From what I've gathered, it doesn't seem like the issue would be as much of whether she wanted to come back, as whether or not she has enough time to.  I get the impression that she's more busy now than she was back when she was on Futurama.  But I may be wrong.

I don't know if I could stand watching Futurama without Katey's voice as Leela.  A couple other characters, like Hermes or Amy, I could probably adjust to a different voice.  But I love Katey's voice so much, I don't know if I could watch it with someone else's in its place.  :

Its amazing how a simple cartoon connects with us all, unexpectedly.

now people may not care about my opinion cause im only 14. but i am in love with this show. i can not say i ever really watched it when it aired. but i saw  a couple of episodes from season 4, including the finale, and i was hooked. i couldnt believe that such an intelligebt show, with amazing writers, directors, and voice actors went off the air. one year i got the first season DVD, and it became my favorite show after watching every episodes a bout a gazillion times.

I agree with CrapBag.I never watched the show when it first aired,My mom did though. She told me that this was a good show,I used to say "How can you like a show that has a stupid robot and a one-eyed idiot?"But one day I sat down and watched it,And I'm glad I did.The first episode I seen was Mars University, wasn't that bad but...it could of been better. So I watched another episode and need less to say I fell in love with the show.  :)I'm 13 and I'm always trying to get my friends to watch Futurama and they say "Aren't you to young to be watching Futurama?",and I say"No!"Although she isn't even aloud to watch Harry Potter or Lord of The Rings cause it's evil, that's what she says. But it's not evil.My mom says I'm old enough to watch what I want.

I feel you, man. I first discovered Futurama just a few months after it was cancelled. At first it was some random episodes I would catch on Adult Swim... and I would stop to go "What in hell is this!?" I couldn't understand it completely until I saw the pilot ep. Even though I was just 13, I was so madly obsessed, I scared everyone on the ASMB!
The thing that really pissed me off about it, was that I did the horrible mistake of looking Futurama up on the internet. When I saw all the results, I cried. Oh, I wish I could have known about Futurama before, I wish I could've helped when I was still a fresh fan. But now..? Nope, my FOB conspiracy would've come together so much better if I caught on before, because it's such a struggle getting it together now.  :(

I never even heard of Futurama when it aired on FOX but then my friends told me that some Futurama ep (tale of  santas) Was better than any episode of anything he had ever seen. I thought ok so i watched it on adult swim and became instantly hooked. Now i am the biggest futurama fan (that i know of in my skool) because my skool is a family guy skool which sux.

EDIT: I would also love to work with Matt Groening. I am very good at voice acting and doing different voices. My friends actually say that i should consider a job in voice overs. I would not be able to do anything else because I suck hard at drawing.

Futurama to me is not just a TV show it is something that I crave and can't go a day without watching, reading or drawing.
But with that in mind, call me a shit fan, but I don't care that it's cancelled. There are still 72 classic episodes that we can watch as much as we like unless you can't get hold of the DVDs. There are still Futurama comics which are identical to the episodes, only you read instead of watching. The comics are not hard to get hold for people in the UK or USA. And lets face it, if they started making Futurama again the new episodes would down-right suck! They would be totally unoriginal and out of place.
Futurama rules as it is, and there's no need for any change to the state of the show.

i discovered futurama when i went to my aunties house several hours away they had cable and i craved going there to watch futurama re runs i t5hink the first episode i saw was godfella's
i think if everyone on the futurama  team (writers actors so on) came back then they  would be great but i'd never see them in australia unless one of the jerk stations decided to run them or i'd crave so much that i'd  download them from a bit torrent (is that bad if i wasnt gonna see them anyway) and i'd buy the dvd's of course

Hmmm..interesting thread. Well, here my story goes...

Not too long ago, I saw the eps. on cartoon network. I think the first one I saw was Fry and the Slurm Factory. I was rolling with laughter! I instantly fell in love. I lost track somehow, though, and didn't watch them for awhile. Later on, I found out when the episoded were on again and fell in love all over. I liked it becasue it made me think. Futurama challenged me mentally. Imagine that! I've recently began studying physics individually and am fasiniated by it.(mostly the theory of relativity) I also loved it because it had great art. All of the characters are original attractive to the eye. I'm a cartoon art guru and found Futurama some of the best art I've seen. I truly belive that Matt Groening is an art revoultionary comprable to Walt Disney. I also hope to one day work with him! That would be a dream come true, especally if it's with Futurama. Honestly, Futurama is a huge part of me now.

Yup. Futurama is a freaking awesome show! It gave me something to watch when bored, and cheered me up when I was bummed out...(all on DVDs of course) and also gave me an excuse for staying up a little bit later every night. I really hope they end up with a movie, because it was sad when it ended...Some of the episodes, even the end, saddened me, because the writing was very amazing, and mindblowing...Such a show should not have been cancelled...SCREW YOU FOX!!!! *screams out dramatically like somebody just died, yelling the "o" a very, very long time*
My story starts some time ago.. around the summer of '03 or '04 (I forget now) For some reason, I flipped the channel to Cartoon Network. Perhaps I figured, why the hell not see what it's about? Sounds awesome enough, or perhaps just because it said something else was on, I don't remember! Anywho, my first episode was Space Pilot 3000, the first ever episode... I instantly fell in love with it and watched on, seeing (in my mind still today I can see myself sitting in front of the TV watching) 30% Iron chef( at least the near end of it in my mind). The next summer, I don't remember watching it. Maybe I totally forgot about it, or I was off doing other things. That was the year I went to Disneyworld..(I think    :hmpf:..) You'd think a show like that'd stick in your mind... I re-discovered the show somehow in the near end of 7th grade, around April or May, and it felt as if a void in my life had been re-filled with what was once gone...I've since then gone through a swift obsession, watching it so much, I'm nearly to lazy to watch, and I can recite most lines from ones I've seen most. I do still love and watch it when I feel like it, I just watch on DVDs now..    ;)

Sorry, incredibly long post, but touching none-the-less right?    :laff:

Also, @ Greeneyes: I too wish to work with Matt Groening, and on futurama...I could always draw some pictures for poster or something..(see art thread in fanart forums section for pic refs) Voiceovers sound extremely fun, and I can do a really funny southern guy accent (even in I'm female, I can sing pretty darn low, 'specially if I lose some of my voice from a combo of drainage, and screaming loudly at a football game)

The first futurama episode that I saw was the last 10 minutes of a pharoah to remember.  I remember thinking that it was the funniest thing I had ever seen, but I didnt see the opening credits so I didnt know what I was watching.  It wasnt until I started watching Family Guy on [as] that I saw futurama again.  Now Im hooked on the show!

I know I completly agree. Even when my friends go ok sit down and watch this one episode, I say w/e and I watch a Family Guy and I merly chuckle a few times. Plus it does not touch me on the emotional level that Futurama does.

I watched futurama since it began but I started missing episodes because of the weird schedule(when fox was taking shows off and then bringing them back, the pj's, futurama, family guy etc. Somehow after the show was discontiuned, I started watching again on Cartoon Network and I own the first season on dvd(getting the others soon). I just love this show.
