Most of these are more like running jokes. I guess there aren't as many cliches as I thought.

-Bender stealing ("I like stealin'...I like takin' things...!" ).

-Someone addressing the Professor, who will then reply with "a-wha?"

-Characters losing body parts only to have them sewn back on by Zoidberg (often incorrectly).

-Old/ugly/fat characters shown naked.

-Leela making a "Hi-ya! sound during mundane activites.

-Amy hitting on cute guys.

-Kif groaning.

wow, excluding the last two posts, this thread has been dead longer than I've been a member of PEEL.

the biggest cliche that I can think of is the routine where Fry will declare his love for Leela, ask her out, and then get rejected when she reveals that she already has a date with someone else.

Cliche is different. Standing on a rake is a cliche because its been done in a lot of media but running jokes are specifically for the fans, not the common viewer.

Does that make any sense. Bah Im tired.

A pompous, cowardly starship captain (Zapp) who thinks he knows everything about everything, and puts his smarter, wiser subordinate down, taking all the credit when things work out, but putting all the blame on that same subordinate when everything falls apart.

Yes, it is, but I've never eaten Archduke Chocula, so I don't know how it tastes.
