Cool! I just saw this yesterday and wanted to post it here, but the board seemed to be down for a while. But now it's official. The X-man himself, David X. Cohen posted a message which can be seen in Google newsroups: (scroll to the top to view)  http://groups.google.com/groups? hl=en&threadm=3C03FE77.2CE9E0CE%40compuglobalhypermeganet.com&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26group%3Dalt.tv.simpsons

He talks about the season premeire of Futurama and other new upcoming eps, as well as some new awards the show is nominated for.

Let me just say - cool. Especially on the Xmas episode being an hour long.

It's not an hour long, it's two eps back-to-back... which is still cool.

Kick-fucking-ass. The 9-10 Sunday timeslot sounds pretty good. I would have expected FOX to air it on a thursday at 8:30 with absolutely no promotion at all.

Maybe hell'll freeze over before it gets aired in Sweden, but I'm positive pigs'll fly before I can see it on TV.

The episodes sounds cool. And the guest cast is promising (to say the least). Now if only we could get a return of the VPAR (I just loved Stephen Hawkings remarks in AOI I).

If Fox doesn't make shows readily available to the viewing public, they shouldn't disapprove of sites that stimulate a fanbase. Fl'uh!

/action does a season 4 is a'coming dance.

Wow!  Two pleasant surprises in one day!  First, Buffy and Spike...well,   :flirt: .  Now, they're gonna show a double-feature of Xmas eps!  I'm in Heaven!  :D

Man, David X. is sexy as hell. I just talked to him on AIM. A few highpoints from the conversation:

-AOI2 will air Jan. 6

-the show hasn't officially been renewed for season 5, but they are reasonably optimistic

-the show will most likely continue to have a crappy timeslot and late season premieres

-"Thanks for the message", "Bye"

-I love David X. Cohen like a father

We got our future hiatus recommendations in, & it looks as though us Character layout artists will be coming back to work in March for season 5.

correct me if i'm wrong, but the artists coming back to work on season 5 doesn't mean that the show has been picked up for season 5 right?
you are just doing it because they are reasonably sure it will be. right?

Right.  :) It's not "absolutely, positively, throw away your unemployment check, time to buy a new boat" final yet.

So what kind of hours do you do, Sarge? And does it pay enough to support you without any other jobs?

So, what prefix do we people from abroad have to dial to get to Australia? If they receive calls from, say, 30 countries, you'll have (much better) chances.

The hours depend on the episode. And we don't really know till we're in the thick of it. Sometimes I work extra during the weekends, but not too often. From Mon. thru Fri. I come in around 9:30, & leave around 6:30.
And yes, it pays very well.  :)
