What's your favourite Futurama episode?
Tell us here and we'll see if there's a most popular ep.

My fave ep is "War is the 'H' Word"
I especially like the part where Zapp Brannaginn gets his @$$ kicked by Leela.    :D

"Parasites Lost" is just perfect:  great sci-fi *and* great sci-fi parody, great animation, great emotional aspect to the story, and it's hilarious.

Plus, it mentions me, Gumbercules.

Overall I seem to prefer the ones written by Eric Kaplan.

Now that I think about it, didn't it get an award or something?

Anyways, there are a lot of funny episodes (the crazy xmas special or the Beck episode comes to mind), but LotF is great because it's different, great story that separates Futurama from most of the other cartoons and shows. The ending must have been one of the best scenes in Futurama ever... Fry stands still and the camera zooms away and you hear that simple minds' song-- and you realize that everything you *thought* you know about Fry and his brother's relationship is wrong.

Of the 44 aired episodes, I have 19 favorite, perfect-5-star episodes. I'll pick the top 5. Turns out that the best episodes ever come from the second season, and all but one from the second production block. There are 5-star episodes in the first and third seasons, but I think those are simply the best:

2ACV01 I Second That Emotion: This episode was just perfect. I was laughing during the 20 minutes it lasted. Bender flushing Nibbler, and later not giving a damn: hilarious. Bender echoing Leela's emotion: really hilarious. The mutants were great. High Five stars.

2ACV05 Why Must I be a Crustacean in Love?: Another LOL episode, lots of info on Zoidberg and his species, and some Star Trek references. Another perfect 5-star episode.

1ACV12 When Aliens Attack: This one is just great; three stories in one. The first segment had some very nice jokes all around, the second segment had lots of sci-fi references and an eye-candy battle, and the third was also LOL. Another perfect 5-star episode.

2ACV10 A Clone of my Own: Some people hate Cubert even more than Wesley Crusher, but I quite like him - especially when he's being shocked, beated, needled and generally abused. Plus the chase scene in this episode is jaw-dropping. Great 5-star episode.

2ACV02 Brannigan, Begin Again: I used to really like Zapp Brannigan and Kif Kroker, but this episode just turned them into my favorite characters. This episode started great, continued great and ended great. Five stars.

The crazy thing is, my three favorite episodes, Amazon Women in the Mood, Luck of the Fryish, and Parasites Lost were all aired one after another. That was a great time.

Insane in the Mainframe always makes me laugh, as does X-Mas Story and A Head in the Polls. But I still hold that The Deep South is the funniest episode ever.
