Adult Swim not Showing Futurama on Thursday!

I was just looking at the adult swim schedule for tomorrow (2/17) and it looks like Futurama has been preempted for an episode of American Dad.  I don't know about anyone else, but that makes me kind of mad.  If Adult Swin going to preempt anything to show an episode of American Dad how about the Family Guy.

(They probably mentioned it on their little commercials, but I usually don't pay attention to them)

Anyway, I think we all need to go to the Adult Swim website (adultswim.com) and let them know exactly how we feel about American Dad being shown instead of Futurama.  I, for one, am going to write them a "stongly worded" email. 

We can't let this go quietly.  Futurama gets no respect as it is and it's their TOP RATED SHOW!

Strange ... they're showing an episode of American Dad that has already been seen once on FOX, and once again on [as].  And on top of that, American Dad sucks.  Oh well ... bad programming choice on their part.  One of these days they'll learn.  Repeated reruns get annoying, and when their ratings slip, they'll stop. 

I guess I'll be watching "Fry and the Slurm Factory" on DVD instead of TV.  Thursday night viewer bumps aren't worth seeing if I have to suffer through American Dad again.

Actually, [as] switched their thursday lineup a few weeks ago.  It is no longer the same as monday through wed, but rather plays shows from the sunday block.

The only sad thing is that now Futurama is all by itself on saturday (followed by anime, not comedy), so it will have to prop up the night alone.  I still don't think it will have a problem though.

I thought that [as] only shows its weekend night shows past midnight on Thursday. Usually they show Futurama and FG on Thursday at their usual times. And isn't Venture Brothers on Saturday night, after Futurama?

I don't consider this a big deal......"American Dad" is piss-poor, but I'd assume its just a one-off thing.  They have a high-profile deal with Fox to replay the "Dad" episodes, and they want to promote that show and help make it a success.  Sacrificing one rerun of the week (and there's what, four or five?) and just for one week seems acceptable enough to me, and is something any network would do no matter how much they respect their shows.  The only shame in it is that this specific show happens to be a piece of shit, but you can't blame AS for wanting one of their new shows to be a success.

This is a real shame. I just turned on [as] to watch Futurama and I was greeted with this mediocre pilot.

Well one would think they would put it in place of family guy, as duh, its basically the same show, and if they are going to make one show get replaced, it should be the show whos fans will most likely enjoy the show and tune in regularly . . . aka NOT futurama fans, but rather family guy fans.

Ps, I like both and own the entire collection of both, so whatever, reruns are less important to me than to some

I think we should let them know how we feel about Futurama being replaced by American (even if it's only for one night).

I don't remember, but I did notice that Futurama wasn't on Thursday anymore. Which totally bones. I mean, if they showed Futurama at the same time as a new show, (albeit one as bad as American Dad) then perhaps it could get that one smidgen more recognition that it so desperately needs. *sigh* -_-;;

You know what, if you really look at it american dad and family guy, they are like exactly the same show, both a messed up family, except they changed some small stuff, like the fish and the alien if you didnt have them it would be family guy except peter would be in the cia which would be dumb very dumb just like american dad is right now, that show is definately not going to pass season 1
