I started watching Futurama around a year and a half ago on adult swim.  Whenever it would come on i'd get excited because i loved the show and the thing that stuck out the most that iI remember was the theme song.  Its hard to explain but when I hear the theme song now it seems different, less intriguing.  This might be from watching it so much but I still enjoy the show very much.  Som jokes and antics also seem a bit different than the first time iI watched it.  Does anyone else noticed this when they watch it?

It's because you know what's coming and you're expecting it to happen

It's because it's been cancelled for about 2 years. The DVDs have been out for over a year. We've all seen the episodes many times. Once you see something over and over again, it is less funny and intriguing. If something is new, then it seems fresh, because it's new.

Could be that after watching for so long your brain is now attuned to it and trying to figure out new angles to appreciate it. Like finding different levels to the jokes on the show after learning more about the world.

The more I watch Futurama, the funnier it is.
But then again, I'm sanity challenged.
By the by, Futurama is named after the General Motors Pavilion/Exhibit from the 1964-65 World's Fair held in NYC.

I know exactly how you feel Btb. When a series is gone for a while and you've seen every episode so many times, you do try to look into every nook and cranny for new things they've never seen before. Fans of the original Star Trek series did the same thing. They analyzed the episodes under a fricking microscope until the movies and TNG came out over 15 years later.

Let's just hope we ddon't have to wait that long for new episodes of Futurama...  :p

I thought it was the 1939 fair, also in NYC.

Comics books my friend, comic books

They may not be as visually stimulating, but they're funny as the H-Word! :-)
