This has almost certainly been done before but nothing came up on the search. This is about the star wars refrences in futurama Is it just me or is there very few ?. The only one I rember is in war is the H word when fry trains with a lightsabre with the droid pinata. Are there any more?

Plenty.
I 'When Aliens Attack', the whole attack on the Omiconian mother ship is almost a shot-for-shot recreation of the attack on the first Death Star. The hanger bit before that looks very similar to the interior of the rebel flagship in ROTJ.
The Near-Death Star in 'A Clone of my Own', and the professor's holographic message.
The professor makes a reference to the Jedi in 'Crimes of the Hot.'
And, of course, the cops 'batons' look and sound a lot like lightsabres. (Don't act like them, though.)

That's of the top of my head. There's probably more.

Thanks slackjawedmoron this is very small but after watching TDHAIPT for the 6 billonth time I noticed at the end when the devil takes off frys hands he screams NOOOOOOOOOOO! like in th empire strikes back after luke gets his hand chopped off.

Er... that's not a reference. That's a similarity. It's the standard scream of denial. Everyone does it. I do it when I can't find my pants in the morning.

Also, now that I think about it, Fry doesn't scream 'No!' at all. Are you sure you didn't dream that?

Oh, wait, you mean during the song?
"No! Stop! Take my hands! etc etc."

That's definately not a reference.

I found some more:

  • "Please, officers, there's no need to use force!" (Leela, Space Pilot 3000, just before the cops start beating Fry and Bender with lightbatons)
  • "Elzar was seduced by the dark side of cooking" and the whole Bender's training in 30% Iron Chef
  • The Professor's early robot in Crimes of the Hot resembles C3PO a lot
  • I could swear I saw R2 at Roboticon in Obsoletely Fabulous
  • ...

I don't know I was just memorizing leave me out of this. Any way when does farnsworth refrence the jedi?. Also in 30 percent iron chef i think bender uses a lightsabre type wepon to skin a patato.

When Wernstrom is about to destroy the robots, Farnsworth says something like:

"A billion robot lives are about to be extinguished! Oh, the Jedis are going to feel this one..."

"It all dates back to the Star Trek Wars..."
"You mean the vast migration of Star Wars fans?"
"No, that was the Star Wars Trek."

Jar Jar Binks' head appears in That's Lobstertainment.

"Great three-toed sloth of ice planet Hoth!"

In the game, the crew visit the Professor's mentor Adoy (Yoda spelt backwards) on the planet Bogad (Almost Dagobah spelt backwards). Adoy is a vaguely mystical short guy who talks funny.

"Kif Get's Knocked Up A Notch":
Zapp: "I "feel a very sensual disturbance in the force"
"The Why Of Fry":
The infosphere looks very similar to the Death Star.
Nibbler call Leela "the other one", Yoda tell Luke "there is another one". Very flimsy I admit, and I'll chalk this one up as another coincidence.

    "300 Big Boys":
Kif has a double flyswatter like Darth Maul's double lightsaber.

    "The 30% Iron Cook":
      Spargel - Yoda

    "A Pharaoh To Remember":
Fry: "I got a bad feeling about this".
This was in the deleted scenes of Kif Gets Knocked up a Knotch when they are being checked in the clinic(I don't quite remember the exact words)
Zapp:"Doctor,am I going to make it?"
      Doctor:"Yes"
      Zapp:"I mean with Leela!"
      Doctor:"I'm a doctor,not a miracle worker!"

I found out there was no scream. But I did notice that fry gets his hand/s choped/eaten off a few times this could perhaps be a refrence to star wars.
      P.S thanks for the replies

That's a Trek reference, dude, to Dr. McCoy from the original series.  "I'm a doctor, not a miracle worker" was pretty much his catchphrase.  I think you posted in the wrong thread by mistake.

That hockey-puck device Hermes was broadcast on reminded me more of the hologram from "Star Trek:  The Next Generation"...the one Tasha Yar put her last will and testament on.

so thats why people think that episode sucked  ;)

anyways, I'd say the writers are more trek fans, and the animators are more star wars fans.

      although thats higly speculative.

For me the staff appears to be science-fiction fans primarily and then fans of specific shows. I mean , there a literally dozens of sci-fi movies/shows/books referenced on Futurama, I don't think they have an agenda of pushing one particular show over another.

Ofcourse deep down they're all nerdlingers.

      Same for me..
altought for me is more surprasing that there is not even a single one reference to Babylon 5.
There is many Sw references but not as even clore as ST references, is clear that writers/cohen are really big ST fans, i cant imagine a whole SW `parody episode like "where no fan has gone before"

All I have to say is I was actually getting sick of the multiple death-star refrences they kept doing ad nauseum.

OK, so there are at least three
      -Assault on the hubble telescope
      -Near death-star
-Brain memory bank <---Could have/should have been a borg cube.

Anyway, of you're gonna do a SW parody, they should have done speeder bikes tear-assing through downtown NNYC ala-RotJ.

In "The Birdbot of Icecatras," when Bender is in reset mode, he makes an R2D2 sound, or, actually a sound like any atromech droid, including R5D4, the droid luke was going to buy, but it had a broken modivator. MAN, I am such a nerd.

speaking of sounds directly taken from SW.

In "time keeps on slippin" just at the end before Fry discover the message in the stars, just when Bender ame out of the bridge whistlering and Fry turn the ship, as you see the CGI shot of the Ship fly-way its the exactly sound of the Millenium Falcon, you can find the exactly sound (is found many times in SW original trilogy) in the Yavin aproaching by the Falcon (after the TIEs attack), or in The empire strikes back when the falcon aproaches Cloud City, and so on..

I, too, am suprised that Futurama contained no Babylon 5 references. I guess it just wasn't "Pop Culture" enough.
