So, I saw the first episode of Father of the Pride... wasn't very impressed. Saw the one with the Shrek donkey, it was better, but still lacking. Tonight I saw what I presume was a new episode featuring the voice talents of John Dimaggio. The only reason I bring this up in the general discussion forum is that he was unmistakebly using the Bender voice. Is this his way of keeping the show alive? I know he's got a wide range of voices, so why use the Bender voice? Anyway, the episode was also pretty funny, and featured the voice talents of Tress Macneille (Mom, etc) and John Ennis from Mr. Show. Also, Dave Herman (Wernstrum, etc.) is a regular on the show, playing one of either Sigfried or Roy (can't remember) among other characters.

I was waiting for someone to bring this up. I saw the ep too. (i actually like the show.) But was too lazy to search/begin a thread for it.

Good topic but shouldn't it be in It's Got a TV?

Yeah, I saw that episode last night...I thought the voice was more a mixture of Bender and Elzar.  However, in the one with Danny Devito as the anarchist lobster, I noticed a gay rabbit that sounded EXACTLY like...you guessed it...Randy.  And the fact that he mentioned a Chinese cooking class tied in nicely to "Insane in the Mainframe" too (Bender mentions this to Roberto while he robbing the bank).

Hooray for John Dimaggio, and all the other fine voice over guest stars on Father of the Pride. And the fact that John used the Bender voice makes this Futurama related...right?

Remaining on topic though, I think John's voices always resembled Bender a little and he became so attached to that voice so it became sort of a base to build his other characters around. I think he said in a commentary that he develops other voices by doing a bad impression of someone. Maybe he was trying to do a bad impression of Bender in this case.

I'm not really up on BASIC, but shouldn't there be an END or something like that between 30 and 40?  It seems like you'd be posting Futurama stuff twice with this code; once here (30) and once in It's Got a TV (40).
