Recently I got the latest "The Onion" book (just released in late September), called "Fanfare for the Area Man", featuring all the articles from November 2002 to November 2003.  Great, great book.

Anyways, on the cover, there is in fact a typical "Area man", lying passed out on the couch with a food bowl, a gaming controller, and a pile of dvds (among other things) around him.

Well, if you get a chance, look closely at that pile of dvds.  If you look REALLY closely, you can see one of them is Futurama Volume 2.

Just thought I'd report yet another small little sighting.

Cool. Do you have a copy of this cover you could post?

Well, you won't be able to see the dvd, but the basic cover is here:

I guess there might be a more detailed picture though.

I love the Onion, and of course Futurama.

My friend sitting here told me he loves Onion bagels.

At the risk of going completely off topic, what's this new Onion book about anyway? I may pick it up.

Again, its basically a book of every single Onion article/issue from November 2002 to November 2003.  There's also editions for November 2001 to Nov. 2002 (I own, great as well), and I believe one for Nov. 2000 to Nov. 2001 as well.

Yeah, I have those, but I could have sworn those books were just the Ad Nauseum series.

In any case, I always pick up the new ones around Christmastime.

Yeah, this can be closed now.

They're the Ad Nauseum series, yes.  But this particular one carries that title, "Fanfare for the Area Man".
