Sky One in the UK has just showed the final part in their Ultimate sci-fi top 10. This week was Robots. I think you can guess which character from futurama came in at number 3...you can't? Ok here's a clue. His name sounds a bit like Bender.
There were some new iterviews with David X Cohen and John Dimaggio. + many other talking head (not in jars) chipped in with thier love for bender and the show in general  smile

Incase you're wondering, the top 2 places went to The Terminator and Maria from Metropolis. Personally I would have put Bender or C3P0 & R2 D2(joint 4th place) in the top spot.

Well, it was on TV, so I don't know if there is a transcript on the web yet. Sorry. Try going to the Sky One site and searching for Ultimate Sci-Fi Robots.

As If anoyne would actually like the terminator.
And I wouldn't have thought many people had seen metropolis. Unless they actully showed it.

Did they?

The list was compiled by a group of "experts". They had some great things to say about Bender. But I think they put Maria at number 1 purely to appear highbrow and credible. Bender would beat maria into the ground with a shovel anyday. Probably sleeping with her and mugging her first.

You do realise than an expert is simply someone who has been in the field for 10 years?

Sounds like An average Sci-Fi fan to me.
