Has the PE crew ever visited a planet that Earth was trying to colonize?  Cases could be made for Sicily 8 or the Planet of the Moochers, but did we ever actually SEE another planet populated with humans?

Mars maybe? It has been successfully terraformed -> colonised (see Mars University). Or do you mean unsuccessfully attempting to colonize?

No, I meant any colonization attempt.  It ashames me to admit Mars completly slipped my mind.

The moon? Although that did belong to Earth in the first place....what about Neptune? There were some humans there, and the human-built Santa lives there.

It shames me to admit that I, at one point, was writing a fanfic to that effect.  The planet that was colonized was called "Nemesis," and not only was it physically like Earth, it also shared Earth's orbit only transposed 180 degrees.

I bounced the idea of a twin planet off my roomate at the time who informed me that its existence was impossible and that "Nemesis" was already the name for the theorized companion star of the Sun.

Well, seeing as venus seems to be populated and livable in leela's fantasy in The Sting -- although that might just be from Venusians, and it was just a fantasy...

Earth doesnt colonise Nuthin. I get the impression that its a "Third World" Backwater.

Third world countries always have corrupt, or at least incompetant militaries. And well. Zapf Branigan?

Nemesis is the name of a star system with a colonized planet in an Aizek Asimov (sp?) book. In the book the star is in a collision course with the Sol system, which made a thread of getting the earth out of orbit in a few degrees, which would have created a global catastrophe when it comes to weather and such... It's a nice story. I recommend it if you haven't read it.

When do we see humans living on Neptune?  I'm actually inclined to believe that Neptune was colonized by an alien race with superior technology to Earth's, at least in terms of terraforming.  I mean, it wasn't until the 27th century that Earth could terraform Mars, and that would have been a LOT easier than doing the same for a gas giant in the outer solar system.

I think you're thinking of "Little Neptune," the neighborhood in New New York populated mostly by Neptunians, just like Little Italy is populated mostly by Italinas.  It's definitely not Neptune itself.
