I looked on the adult swim schedule and my Tivo, it says Devil Hands comes on tonight even though they are still in season 2 eps is any special reason why?

Yes, check the adult swim website the schedule for tonight says Devils Hands... and tommorow's ep is Amazon women in the mood.

I think I know why now... aren't these the episodes Matt(Groening) picked as his favorites or something?

BTW... Jicannon the schedule on Gotfuturama.com is off by like a week those eps came on 2 weeks ago.

I don't really know why it's on tonight.  I'm hoping it's an error is the schedule (don't get me wrong, I love the episode, but I'd hate to see the people who haven't seen all of the episodes get screwed up or something by seeing the last episode in between season 2 and 3 ... plus, I have it on DVD now).

It's definitely not Groening week, as that's not until September, and he hasn't actually been on to introduce them, which would be a major bummer.

Thanks Zoid for clearing that up... I mean I knew is wasn't his week but it was the only thing I thought of that would answer my question on why they are playing that ep tonight.

I think they want to start season 3 with a fresh week, so they are just airing a different episode tonight as filler.

Of course I'm going to miss it because of the flood we are having right now here in alaska causing my satallite to go down... damn I miss cable sometimes!

But that'll put the start of season three on a Saturday, so it doesn't make much sense ... besides, they've never done that before.

It is to honor the release of Season 4 on DVD.

Did they actually say that?

No, but I'm assuming based on the fact that the DVD did come out this week.  Coincidence?

With your track record of assumptions, I'm perfectly willing to believe that it's a coincidence.

Really, though, if it was to honour something, I'm sure it would have been mentioned.

I think it does have to do with the release of the DVD.  Futurama is mostly aired in production order on CN, unless for a particular reason they have for not airing them in production order.

For Halloween they skipped from one episode straight to "The Honking".  When Christmas came around, they aired "X-mas" and "A Tale of Two Santas" the following night.

When they cut to commercial for TDHAIPT they air the commercial for Season 4 on DVD.

To be fair, they would have aired that commercial whether it was "Space Pilot 3K", "Amazonian Women in the Mood", or "Devil's Hands".  Regardless, though I think they should have stuck with production order, I'm not complaining because I do enjoy that episode.
